Nigerian striker Aaron Samuel Olanare was on song for his club
Guangzhou R&F in the Chinese super league game on Wednesday.Coming on as a
substitute for striker Abderrazak Hamdallah, Olanare scored his team's third
and final goal as they thrashed visiting Beijing Guoan 3-1. Guangzhou R&F
now sits 3rd on the Chinese super league table with 37 points from 20 games and
11 points adrift table-topping Guangzhou Evergrande FC albeit with a game in
hand.
The 20-year-old Olanare who was
called-up to the Super Eagles for the Nelson Mandela Challenge against South
Africa last year, recently joined the Chinese outfit from Norwegian club side
Sarpsborg 08 in July for a fee of €1.40 Million. He has now scored 2 goals in 4
games for his new club. Olanare is the
second Nigerian to play for the blue and whites after former Nigerian and
Everton Striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni scored 25 goals in 45 games for the Cantonese.
